Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Software/Hardware Integration Engineer (Submarines) in Glasgow. You will validate complex sub-systems, integrating software, FPGA and hardware artefacts across the life cycle, ensuring traceability to requirements and timely delivery. The role requires collaboration with software, systems, hardware and safety teams within a high-profile programme.

The role is based in Glasgow on a Monday–Friday, 37-hour week, with security clearance requirements expected for UK nationals.

Qualifications

• Degree in Software or Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience with FPGA devices and timing analysis.
• Experience integrating electronic products and fault diagnosis.
• Awareness of safety-critical development constraints.

Responsibilities

• Develop test documentation including test plans and procedures.
• Develop automated test scripts for FPGA designs.
• Conduct LRU-level testing across environmental conditions.
• Perform failure investigations and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and safety teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Support audits and design reviews.
