CPS Group (UK) Ltd in Cardiff is seeking a Software Engineering Team Lead to join our technically driven team on a hybrid basis. You will lead multiple engineering squads, shape engineering practices and guide architecture for a modern software platform.

The role is hands-on with a focus on delivering high-quality software, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with Product and senior stakeholders to meet goals and timelines.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Team Lead, Senior Engineer or Engineering Lead.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot development experience.
• Experience delivering software within Agile environments.
• Ability to influence technical decisions and mentor engineers.
• Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical teams.
• A passion for building quality software and improving engineering practices.

Software Engineering Team Lead

Cardiff (Hybrid Working)

Up to £75,000 + Bonus

CPS Group are supporting an established technology-driven organisation in Cardiff who are looking for an Software Engineering Team Lead to join their growing software engineering function.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to step up into a technical leadership role. From you're first day you'll be given the opportunity to lead a team and shaping engineering practices. You'll play a key role in guiding Agile teams, influencing architecture and helping drive the technical direction of a modern software platform.

The Role

You'll provide technical leadership across multiple engineering teams, supporting delivery, improving engineering standards and helping engineers grow. You'll work closely with Product, Engineering and senior stakeholders to ensure high-quality solutions are delivered against estimates/to time, and to cost.

This is a predominantly hands-on role.
