Job summary

SR2 | Socially Responsible Recruitment | Certified B Corporation™ is seeking an Engineering Lead to head a hands-on team delivering cloud-native software with real impact. You will work closely with technical leadership to design, build and deploy scalable solutions that improve healthcare access and support charitable initiatives.

You will inspire engineers, mentor colleagues, and partner with clients to solve complex technical challenges while maintaining best practices across the stack

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering on client projects.
• Strong track record in full-stack web applications across cloud-native stacks.
• Excellent collaboration with clients and technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers to deliver high-quality cloud-native applications.
• Collaborate with clients and product teams to understand requirements and design solutions.
• Design, build and ship backend services and REST APIs using Node.js/TypeScript on AWS.
• Drive architecture discussions and promote engineering best practices.
• Foster a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement.

Job description

I'm working with a well-established company who are looking for an Engineering Lead.

This is an opportunity to work on software that has a genuine positive impact, partnering with organisations whose products and services make a real difference. Recent projects have included platforms that improve access to healthcare and digital products that support charitable and community-focused initiatives.

You'll head up a team of collaborative software engineers, remaining hands on as a leader, working closely with technical leadership to design, build and deliver modern cloud-native applications from concept through to production.

• Proven experience leading engineering teams - encouraging and upholding excellent ways of working
• Someone who enjoys working closely with clients and solving interesting technical challenges
• Strong commercial experience building full-stack web applications
• Excellent knowledge of Node.js and TypeScript
• Good understanding of AWS and cloud-native architectures
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs
• Familiarity with containerisation, Infrastructure as Code and modern CI/CD practices
