Job summary

LA International is seeking an experienced SolarWinds specialist to design, configure and implement enterprise monitoring solutions across complex environments in the UK.

You will administer SolarWinds products (NPM, NCM, SAM, NTA, SRM, Orion) and integrate them with Service Desk and ITSM tools, while leading RBAC governance, dashboards, and health monitoring initiatives for diverse stakeholding teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing, configuring, and implementing SolarWinds monitoring solutions in complex enterprise environments.
• Expertise with SolarWinds NPM, NCM, SAM, NTA, SRM and Orion Platform administration.
• Experience administering SolarWinds Service Desk and ITSM processes (incident, request, asset, change, knowledge).
• Ability to integrate SolarWinds with ITSM tools for automated alerting and ticketing workflows.
• Hands-on with Palo Alto Panorama, FortiManager, and Cisco DNA Centre.
• Knowledge of network management protocols (SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow, REST APIs).
• Experience with AD, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, McAfee ePO and RBAC governance.
• Experience creating monitoring strategies, dashboards, reports, and health views.
• Strong documentation, knowledge transfer, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• ITIL-aligned service management and change control frameworks.

• Bridge SolarWinds with third-party platforms for monitoring and reporting.
• Manage RBAC design, governance, and access controls across platforms.
• Develop monitoring strategies, dashboards, and health dashboards and reports.
• Produce technical documentation and SOPs; deliver knowledge transfer sessions.
• Engage stakeholders across technical, operations and service management teams.

Job description

• Proven experience designing, configuring, and implementing SolarWinds monitoring solutions in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in SolarWinds products including Network Performance Monitor (NPM), Network Configuration Manager (NCM), Server & Application Monitor (SAM), NetFlow Traffic Analyzer (NTA), Storage Resource Monitor (SRM), and Orion Platform administration.
• Experience administering and configuring SolarWinds Service Desk (ITSM), including incident, request, asset, change, and knowledge management processes.
• Experience integrating SolarWinds monitoring platforms with SolarWinds Service Desk and other IT Service Management (ITSM) solutions to support automated alerting, ticket creation, workflow management, and operational reporting.
• Hands‑on experience configuring and managing Palo Alto Panorama, FortiManager, and Cisco Catalyst Centre/DNA Centre.
• Experience integrating SolarWinds with third‑party network, security, systems management, and element management platforms.
• Knowledge of network management protocols and technologies including SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow, WMI, REST APIs, and event management.
• Experience configuring and managing supporting infrastructure services, including Active Directory Domain Services, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, and McAfee ePO.
• Strong understanding of Role‑Based Access Control (RBAC) design, implementation, and governance across monitoring and management platforms.
• Experience designing enterprise monitoring strategies, alerting frameworks, dashboards, service views, reporting, and operational health monitoring.
• Good understanding of enterprise networking, cybersecurity, server, and infrastructure management principles.
• Experience producing high‑quality technical documentation, configuration guides, standard operating procedures, and as‑built documentation.
• Demonstrable experience delivering knowledge transfer sessions, training support teams, and transitioning solutions into business‑as‑usual operations.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across technical, operational, and service management teams.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills across network, infrastructure, monitoring, and service management platforms.
• Experience working within ITIL‑aligned service management, change control, and operational support frameworks.
• Ability to independently manage deliverables and successfully deliver outcomes within a fixed‑term project engagement.
• Relevant vendor certifications or equivalent experience in SolarWinds, Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or ITSM disciplines.
