Leonardo UK Ltd in Basildon seeks a Project Engineering Manager to lead software delivery across several programmes, spanning requirements to acceptance. You will shape delivery methods from model-driven code generation to hand-coding, building strong relationships with engineering leads and partners, while ensuring resources and schedules are realistic and project risks are managed.

Educated to degree level in an engineering-related subject or equivalent experience.
Significant experience leading Software engineering teams in complex projects.
Experience with code generation and model-driven development is desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead a dynamic software engineering team across multiple programmes.
Collaborate with projects to deliver software on time, cost and performance.
Develop engineering plans with milestones, risks, and interdependencies.
Review project engineering positions and adapt plans to mitigate costs/schedules.
Prepare and communicate monthly engineering status reports.
Coordinate engineering input into bids as part of business winning.
Line-manage Software Engineers and System Modellers.
