Job summary

Leonardo UK in Basildon is seeking a Project Engineering Manager to lead the Test Engineering team within the ISP sector. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering activities, align with the Product Maturity & Capability Roadmap, and ensure test capability supports business needs.

The role requires strong leadership, solid test solutions knowledge, and experience driving engineering plans, schedules, and budgets across sites. Hybrid working and a broad benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science/Technology/Engineering/Math or equivalent.
• Experience with test solutions in high-tech environments.
• Ability to create clear engineering plans.
• Strong leadership and communication across sites.
• Experience managing budgets and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Establish and prioritise forward load and expand the multi-discipline team.
• Manage day-to-day project tasks of the engineering team.
• Develop test strategies and delivery plans with customers.
• Coordinate with Design Authorities and Systems Engineers.
• Ensure designs meet end-user requirements and roadmaps.
• Control change management and supplier management.
• Capture concept solutions and trade-off results.
