Litera seeks a Software Engineer to impact legal tech by building Microsoft-based front-end and back-end solutions in a Scrum team. You’ll affect reliability, performance, and innovation across the product suite using C#/.NET, Dynamics 365, and Azure, with an AI-first mindset.

You’ll work hands-on, ship code to production, and influence product direction while collaborating with developers, QA, and product managers. This hybrid role is in London or Nottingham.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in commercial software development.
• Strong skills in C# and .NET for front-end and back-end solutions.
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Power Apps experience.
• AI-first mindset with Cursor or Claude Code usage.
• Solid JavaScript/TypeScript knowledge (jQuery, React).
• Excellent problem solving and collaborative, Agile team player.

Responsabilités

• Design and deliver robust front-end and back-end software using C#, .NET and Microsoft stack, shipping features for legal professionals.
• Collaborate in a Scrum framework with developers, QA, architects, and product managers to move work from requirements to delivery.
• Bring AI-first approach to engineering, leveraging AI tools to speed development and raise productivity.
• Own quality end-to-end—from defects resolution with QA to documenting solutions.
• Contribute to Litera’s coding standards, security practices and engineering improvements.
• Continue expanding skills across Azure, Dynamics 365, Power Platform and emerging tech.

Hybrid: This is a hybrid role based in Nottingham or London with the expectation to be in office at least 3 days a week for collaboration and connection.

• Bring an AI‑first mentality to your engineering workflow, leveraging tools like Cursor and Claude Code to accelerate development and raise the bar on productivity.
• Own the quality of your work end‑to‑end — from resolving defects with QA to creating and maintaining clear solution documentation.
• Contribute to Litera’s coding standards, security practices, and engineering principles — and recommend improvements when you see a better way.
• Continuously expand your technical skill set across Azure, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and emerging technologies to stay ahead of what’s next.

What You’ll Bring

Must‑Haves:

• 5+ years of experience in a commercial software development environment.
• Strong skills in C# and .NET with hands‑on experience building Microsoft technology‑based front‑end and back‑end solutions.
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 /Power Apps experience.
• AI‑first mentality with experience using AI‑powered development tools such as Cursor or Claude Code.
• Solid understanding of JavaScript and its ecosystem, including jQuery, React, or TypeScript.
• Excellent problem‑solving ability, strong communication skills, and comfort working collaboratively within an agile team.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with Azure services such as Azure Functions, Key Vaults, Cosmos DB, and Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with SharePoint Online, the SharePoint Framework, or Microsoft Graph.
• Exposure to Power Automate, Power Apps Model Driven Apps, or PCF Controls.
• Experience with feature flagging techniques such as LaunchDarkly.
