Opus People Solutions, on behalf of Walsall Council, has an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker to join their Duty and Assessment Team.

Job Title: Social Worker - Duty and Assessment

Length of assignment: 3 Months

Hours per week: 37

Hourly rate: £33.30

Location: Walsall

Remote/Office based: Hybrid

Responsibilities include:
  1. Initial Assessments: Screen and assess the needs of children and families referred to the service.
  2. Child Protection: Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans for children at risk.
  3. Duty Work: Respond to urgent cases and manage crisis situations as the first point of contact.
  4. Caseload Management: Develop care plans and review cases regularly.
  5. Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work with health, education, and other professionals to support families.
  6. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate case records and prepare reports as needed.
