Job Description:

Opus People Solutions, on behalf of Northampton Children's Trust, has an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker to join their Duty and Assessment team.

Hours per week: 37

Salary: £39,384 to £42,620

Location: One Angel Square

As a Social Worker within our Duty and Assessment Team, your responsibilities will include managing caseloads involving children under Child Protection, Child in Need, and Looked After Children plans. Your role will involve conducting visits to children and their families, completing assessments, and engaging in direct safeguarding work to ensure the wellbeing and safety of young people. You will participate in strategy discussions, facilitate safety planning, and conduct Section 17 Single Assessments and Section 47 enquiries.

This role offers the opportunity to work with children and young people on a short-term basis from initial referral until cases transfer from the DAAT to other teams.
