Job summary

Leaders in Care are recruiting an experienced social worker for a Duty & Assessment role with a Greater Manchester council. The position offers a competitive pay rate of £40 per hour with quick starts, and the option to work independently with diary management and flexible working arrangements, including a condensed four‑day week.

You will join a statutory role requiring Social Work England registration and a commitment to high standards of safeguarding and family support.

Qualifications

• Must have a social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
• Experience in statutory social work and safeguarding.
• Ability to work independently and manage a diary to balance caseloads.

Responsibilities

• Work within the Duty & Assessment team to assess needs and plan safe services.
• Manage a manageable caseload to ensure thorough, timely support for children and families.
• Adapt to flexible WFH arrangements and condensed 4-day week where applicable.
