Job summary

Pertemps Southampton is seeking a creative Social Media Executive to lead brand storytelling across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube from Isle of Wight. The role requires hands-on content creation, editing, and timely posting to engage audiences and grow the Mermaid brand online.

You will plan and shoot short-form video, craft platform-tailored copy and monitor performance, with a hybrid model (minimum 2 days on-site) and travel for shoots as needed.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years in dedicated social media management or content creation.
• Strong portfolio or examples of past work.
• Experience shooting and editing short-form video and photography.
• Deep understanding of user behaviour across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and YouTube.
• Strong copywriting and tone adaptation across platforms.
• Flexibility to travel for shoots, events and activations.

Responsibilities

• Channel management across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
• Develop and maintain an engaging content calendar for brand storytelling, product launches and trends.
• Shoot and edit scroll-stopping short-form video and photography using CapCut, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Craft platform-tailored copy that matches Mermaid brand tone of voice.
• Spot emerging trends and opportunities to produce timely content.
• Attend events, shoots, and brand activations to capture real-time content.
• Monitor metrics and analytics to optimise future content.
