Card Factory plc is seeking a Social Media Executive to champion the cardfactory and Funky Pigeon brands. Based in Wakefield or Bristol with hybrid working, you’ll craft engaging content for multiple platforms and grow online communities.
You’ll work behind and in front of the camera, shape social strategy, and collaborate with internal teams and agencies on campaigns, launches, and seasonal moments across the UK.
At cardfactory and Funky Pigeon, we’re looking for a creative and social-first Social Media Executive to help bring both brands to life across our social channels. This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly formed Brand and Social Media team and play a key role in delivering a new social media strategy across two well-known brands. You’ll have the opportunity to create engaging content, grow online communities and help shape how cardfactory and Funky Pigeon show up across social media. Working both behind and in front of the camera, you’ll have the freedom to bring fresh ideas, creative thinking and a social-first mindset to the team. Based at either the cardfactory Support Centre in Wakefield or the Funky Pigeon office in Bristol, this role offers hybrid working with 2 days per week in the office, alongside regular travel across the UK to stores, events and content shoots.
You’ll support the delivery of social media activity across cardfactory and Funky Pigeon, creating engaging content that drives brand awareness, customer engagement and community growth. Working across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube and LinkedIn, you’ll help keep our brands relevant, visible and connected with customers. The role will involve planning, creating and scheduling a variety of content, from social posts and graphics through to Reels and short-form video. You’ll work closely with internal teams and creative agency partners to support campaigns, product launches and key seasonal moments. You’ll be confident both behind and in front of the camera, creating content that taps into social trends, cultural moments and influencer-led activity. You’ll also use performance insights to continually optimise content and identify new opportunities to grow engagement.
