Job summary

Securitas in Cambridge is seeking a SOC Operator to join our Security Operations Centre. You will monitor alarm activations, prioritise events, coordinate dispatch and respond to emergencies in a fast-paced environment.

The role includes night shifts on a 4 on, 4 off pattern with potential moves to a rotating pattern. From day one you’ll have access to learning opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and prioritise alarm activations and coordinate dispatch.
• Handle emergency calls and provide customer support.
• Record and dispatch alarm activations in line with SOPs.
• Liaise with third parties and contractors as required.
• Ensure CCTV checks and camera maintenance are performed.

Job Description

As a SOC Operator, you will play a vital role within our Security Operations Centre, ensuring the seamless delivery of services in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment. You will be responsible for monitoring and prioritising alarm activations, coordinating dispatch and response activities, handling emergency calls, and delivering exceptional support to both internal and external customers.

Roles and responsibilities include:

• Efficiently manage and prioritise alarm activations across various platforms, adhering to NSI accreditation and customer‑specific procedures
• Handle emergency calls out of hours for customers and other business areas as required
• Manage and escalated book‑on calls, check calls, duress calls and mobile alarm call‑outs according to company SOPs. Respond to all customer requests for system configuration changes
• Answer telephones promptly and courteously within set service levels, assisting internal and external customers, including liaising with third parties and contractors as required
• Ensure regular camera checks are completed accurately, maintaining vigilance with regards to CCTV
• Ensure effective and accurate receipt, dispatch and delivery of service requests in line with customer expectations
• Adhere to relevant customer procedures and accurately record and dispatch alarm activations

Qualifications
