Job summary

Legal & General is seeking a Snowflake Platform Specialist to own RADH and shape its future at the intersection of platform engineering, data architecture and Snowflake innovation.

You’ll lead the ongoing development of the Retail & Analytics Data Hub as an enterprise data platform, optimise Snowflake capabilities, and embed governance, security and observability to drive reliable performance UK-wide.

Qualifications

• Experience in data platform or data engineering roles in cloud environments.
• Hands-on Snowflake knowledge and core features.
• Proficiency in SQL and modern data engineering tooling.
• Experience designing or supporting enterprise-scale data platforms and architectures.
• Understanding of governance, security, access controls and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of the Retail & Analytics Data Hub as a strategic enterprise data platform.
• Introduce and optimise Snowflake capabilities for performance, scalability, reliability.
• Act as Snowflake SME and shape best practices across the organisation.
• Improve automation via CI/CD, infrastructure as code and orchestration frameworks.
• Embed observability: monitoring, alerting, lineage and data quality.
