Job summary

Legal & General (L&G) is a leading UK financial services group seeking a Lead Data Engineer to join the Retail DataOps team. You will design, build and improve data solutions across the Retail Analytics Data Hub, using Snowflake, ADF and dbt Cloud.

You’ll mentor engineers, work with stakeholders, and help mature data delivery practices in a fast-paced Scrum environment across protection, retirement, annuities and pensions.

Qualifications

• Experience in data engineering including building and operating data pipelines.
• Strong understanding of data modelling and dimensional modelling (Kimball).
• Experience with modern data tooling such as Snowflake, ADF or dbt Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Design and build modern data solutions across the Retail Analytics Data Hub.
• Develop scalable data pipelines using ELT with Snowflake, ADF and dbt Cloud.
• Translate business requirements into technical specs, plans and tasks.
