Job summary

RAC is recruiting for Mobile Vehicle Technicians in the SMR division. You will perform planned servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs on customers' vehicles at driveways or car parks, with a fully equipped RAC van and tools provided.

The role offers a stable 40-hour week with core hours and occasional Saturdays. Base salary starts around £40,178 with on-target earnings up to £52,000, plus overtime and bonuses.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic is also acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
