Job summary

Capital On Tap in West Sussex is seeking an Account Sales Executive to own the initial commercial relationship with recently approved SME customers. You will educate, activate and grow their spend by showing how our card adds value, speaking with SME owner-directors and finance managers.

This is a phone-led, target-driven role where performance is driven by commercial curiosity and resilience, with a hybrid office pattern (2 days a week in the office).

Qualifications

• Experience in phone-based sales, account management, or customer activation.
• Proven ability to meet targets and KPIs.
• Comfortable discussing business needs with SME owners and finance managers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a strong first experience for newly approved SME customers.
• Understand each customer's business model and payment needs.
• Drive increased and sustained card spend through proactive outbound calls.
• Manage a high-volume portfolio and prioritise opportunities effectively.
• Make 20-30 outbound calls per day to decision-makers.
• Work towards clear spend and activation targets.
