Back To Work in the North East is seeking an IT Smart Technology Apprentice to gain hands-on skills in smart technologies, networking, IT systems, and connected digital infrastructure while working with experienced engineers.

You will install, configure, and maintain smart technology solutions across diverse environments and progress towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification. This role suits someone who loves technology, problem-solving, and building a long-term career.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation and configuration of smart technology devices and systems.
• Support deployment of connected technologies and digital infrastructure.
• Help set up and maintain wired and wireless networks.
• Carry out basic fault-finding and troubleshooting activities.
• Support software and hardware upgrades.
• Learn how to monitor network performance and system functionality.
• Assist with customer support activities and respond to technical queries.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and project progress.
• Follow company procedures relating to health and safety, data security, and quality standards.
• Work alongside experienced engineers on live projects across the North East region.
