Job summary
SP Electricity North West is seeking a Field Telemetry Technician to install, maintain and repair RTUs and other intelligent devices across the network. You will support SCADA, Telemetry and Automation systems to enable real-time monitoring and control of the electricity network.
The role requires field-based work, a strong background in electrical/electronic engineering and a commitment to safety, with opportunities for professional development and progression within a forward-looking DSO
Qualifications
- City & Guilds Level 2 in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
- Willingness to progress to ONC/HNC.
- Completed Electrical/Electronic engineering apprenticeship.
- Experience fault finding, repair and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain and support RTUs and intelligent devices across the network.
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs to standards and schedules.
- Support SCADA, Telemetry and Automation systems operation and development.
- Program and configure equipment using specialist software.
