Job summary

Global Highland is seeking a passionate Sous Chef to join the kitchen team of a group of hotels on the Isle of Skye. You will work alongside the Head Chef to lead daily service and uphold high standards.

This full-time role offers 45 hours per week with live-in accommodation available. You will prepare and cook high-quality dishes, manage stock, and maintain hygiene in a busy kitchen.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Sous Chef or senior chef role.
• Passionate about delivering high standards in food.
• Reliable, organised and able to work under pressure.
• A positive team player with good communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
• Driving licence preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
• Preparing and cooking high-quality dishes.
• Helping to lead, motivate and support the kitchen team.
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and safety standards.
• Managing food preparation and stock levels.
• Ensuring a clean, organised and efficient kitchen.
• Taking responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence.
