Job summary

Veolia is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join its UK fleet and perform repairs, diagnostics and preventative maintenance on Veolia and third-party vehicles. The role offers a 40-hour week, enhanced London weighting, and a £3,000 sign-on/retention bonus, with a comprehensive benefits package.

You will diagnose hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems, carry out MOT preparations and paperwork, and work safely under HSE guidelines.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Qualification or equivalent.
• Experience as Mechanical Fitter/HGV Technician.
• Hold a HGV driving licence (preferred).
• Own a comprehensive tool kit; diagnostic equipment provided by Veolia.
• Understand health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain the Veolia Fleet, 3rd party vehicles and plant in accordance with manufacturer and industry standards
• Run diagnostics on vehicles using a range of equipment
• Hydraulic, electrics, pneumatics diagnostics and repairs
• Other general work as required by the Workshop Management Team
• Work within Health & Safety regulations and be responsible for your safety and those around you
• Ensure that all necessary paperwork, and time sheets are completed accurately
• Carry out HGV MOT inspections and preparations. (IRTEC Licence preferred however we can provide training)
• Complete roadside repairs when necessary (Training to be provide)

What will you be doing?

What we're looking for;

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter/HGV Technician ideally with an NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Qualification
• Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements
• Hold a HGV driving licence (Preferred but not essential)
• Supply your own comprehensive tool kit. (diagnostic equipment and specialised tools provided by Veolia)
• If you are a skilled Technician we’d still love to hear from you
• We can provide upskilling and develop you further once you’ve started with us
