Veolia Group is seeking a Mobile HGV Technician to join the Gerrards Cross depot. You will play a key role in keeping our fleet on the road, carrying out body inspections, fault finding and repairs to ensure reliability and safety.
The role offers a 40-hour week, a workshop van and access to benefits. Training and upskilling are provided where needed to support career development within Veolia.
Mobile HGV Technician Salary: Up to £48,202 per annum + £0.50p/h HGV licence bonus x1.25 overtime rate x2 Sundays rate x2 Bank Holiday working plus Veolia benefits. Also the following allowance *Sign-on and retention bonus of £3,000* Hours: 40 hours per week -Monday-Friday 08:00am-4:30pm Location: Gerrards cross (west london)
Supporting our Gerrads cross Commercial depot. You will keep our HGV’s safely on the road, so our street side operatives can carry out their duties for our millions of customers. Responsible for carrying out routine body inspections, defect repairs, fault finding and repairs to ensure our fleet is reliable, available and safe. Ensure all workshop Van, personal tools and welding equipment is secured and where possible locked away each night. Welding and electrical equipment should be turned off and left in a safe condition when not in use. Attend roadside breakdowns if required and work as part of a team.
Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter/Technician ideally with an NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Qualification. Hold a HGV driving licence - desirable or willing to gain this through training. Supply your own comprehensive tool kit. If you are a skilled Technician we'd still love to hear from you. We can provide upskilling and develop you further once you've started with us.
