Job summary

Veolia Group is seeking a HGV Technician to repair and maintain the Veolia Fleet and 3rd party vehicles across the UK. You will diagnose faults, work on hydraulics, electrics and pneumatics, and ensure safety procedures are followed while completing required paperwork and time sheets.

The role offers extensive training, potential MOT duties, and a generous benefits package including pensions, leave and ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter/HGV Technician, ideally with an NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Qualification.
• Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Hold a HGV driving licence (Preferred but not essential).
• Supply your own comprehensive tool kit (diagnostic equipment and specialised tools provided by Veolia).

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain the Veolia Fleet, 3rd party vehicles and plant in accordance with manufacturer and industry standards.
• Run diagnostics on vehicles using a range of equipment.
• Carry out HGV MOT inspections and preparations.
• Complete roadside repairs when necessary (Training to be provided).
• Work within Health & Safety regulations and be responsible for your safety and those around you.
• Ensure that all necessary paperwork and time sheets are completed accurately.
