Job summary

Veolia Group in Solihull is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to repair and maintain our fleet of heavy vehicles and trailers. You will perform inspections, fault finding, PPMs, and hydraulic/electrical work in a busy workshop environment.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 in HGV Motor Mechanics or equivalent and a valid HGV licence. IRTEK or related qualifications are desirable, with ongoing training and development supported.

Qualifications

• Essential: NVQ Level 3 in HGV Motor Mechanics and experience.
• Desirable: IRTEK qualification, HGV licence, Autoelectric qualification, hydraulic qualification or experience.
• Good awareness of safe working practices / Health & Safety.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain a fleet of HGVs and trailers in the vehicle maintenance workshop.
• Carry out PPM and fault finding on HGV/LGV units and trailers.
• Carry out inspections (Moffat, pre LOLER) and hydraulic/electrical works.
• Attend off-site breakdowns and perform welding/fabricating as required.
