Job summary

Fairfax Meadow, part of Sysco GB, Derby site, is recruiting a butcher. The role involves cutting meat to order, packing and scanning products for distribution, and upholding high hygiene standards. Working hours are 07:00–17:00, Monday to Friday, with a night shift premium as applicable.

Applicants should have previous meat industry experience, a strong eye for detail, and a proactive attitude to maintain quality and safety across all processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in meat handling and understanding of food hygiene.
• Knowledge of health & safety rules in a food processing environment.
• Previous experience in a similar meat role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• As a butcher, cut the product to meet specifications and pack/scan in a presentable manner for distribution.
