Zusammenfassung

Pilgrim's Europe Westerleigh site is seeking skilled butchers to cut, trim and debone pork shoulders, legs and middles. You must have knife experience from a butchery environment and pass an initial skills test.

This full-time permanent role runs Monday to Friday, 06:45–16:30 (45 hours). We offer a competitive rate of pay, a productivity bonus, and benefits including life assurance, free parking, staff discounts, a subsidised canteen and long service awards.

Aufgaben

• Cut, bone and trim pork according to product specs.
• Remove bones, fat, and gristle to meet quality requirements.
• Weigh meat to meet weight specifications.
• Operate band saws, circular saws, and derinders safely.
• Follow health, safety and food safety standards and PPE rules.
• Carry out other duties as required.

We have exciting opportunities for Skilled Butchers to join our team Pilgrim's Europe Westerleigh site!
Within our Butchery Department we are looking for talented people to join our team as a skilled butcher cutting, trimming & deboning pork shoulders, legs and middles.
Candidates will need to demonstrate that they have previous knife experience gained from working in a butchery environment during an initial skills test.

In You Role You Will

• Cut, bone and trim meat (pork)
• Remove bones and excess fat, gristle, and bruises to meet specific, high - quality, or lean product requirements
• Accurately cut and weigh meat to meet predetermined weight and size specifications
• Ensure product is processed according to Customer specifications
• Ensure work is carried out to the best of your abilities to meet production deadlines
• Safely operate machinery, including band saws, circular saws, derinders
• Use knives safely and efficiently
• Comply with Company policies, Health and Safety and Food Safety Standards at all times, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Carry out any other reasonable duties assigned necessary to meet business needs.
