Job summary

Hitachi Energy seeks a Site Supervisor to lead on-site activities across UK projects within the Grid Integration business. You will coordinate resources, ensure safety, and manage subcontractors from start-up to commissioning, reporting to the Site Manager with focus on cost control and quality.

The role requires a Bachelor's in electrical or mechanical engineering, 5+ years in construction or installation, and strong leadership with good communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ experience in construction and/or installation.
• Good understanding of transmission regulations and current HSE legislation.
• Proven leadership and strong communication skills.
• Scottish power authorised.

Responsibilities

• Plan on-site activities with Site Manager, arrange resources and milestones.
• Coordinate customer and external resources on safety, targets and site policy.
• Act as project representative on site and manage relationships with stakeholders.
• Ensure proper handling, storage and installation of equipment to avoid damages.
• Maintain RAMS for each work package and ensure compliance with safety plans.
• Ensure on-site resources are trained and promote health and safety.
• Monitor project costs against forecasts and report to Site Manager.
• Oversee subcontractors to meet delivery dates and standards.
• Report progress on site activities, safety, quality and costs.
