Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. in the UK is seeking a Site M&E Supervisor to coordinate and inspect on-site mechanical and electrical installation activities across HVDC converter station projects, reporting to the Civil Construction Manager.

You will supervise M&E works, align with schedules, review drawings and QA records, enforce HSE requirements, and collaborate with engineers, subcontractors and client representatives to deliver safe, high-quality project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience supervising M&E installation works on large-scale industrial projects.
• Strong understanding of M&E systems, construction methodologies and relevant standards.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
• Commitment to health, safety and environmental requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and inspect on-site M&E installation activities to ensure safety and quality.
• Support planning and execution to align with project schedules and milestones.
• Review ITPs/ITRs and progress reports; maintain current construction documentation.
• Identify and resolve non-conformities; coordinate with subcontractors and engineering teams.
• Engage in risk mitigation, site inspections, and safety briefings; ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
