Job summary

Hitachi Energy UK LIMITED seeks a Site Supervisor (Scottish power authorised) to lead on-site activities for projects across the United Kingdom. You will coordinate resources, ensure safety and quality, and act as the project representative on site from start-up to handover.

The role requires a strong engineering background, leadership, and proactive collaboration with customers and subcontractors. The position offers a remote work setup with UK-wide site responsibilities, a strong focus on HSE,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years’ experience in construction and/or installation.
  • Strong understanding of transmission regulations and HSE legislation.
  • Proven leadership and collaborative approach.
  • Proactive and flexible personality.
  • Scottish power authorised status.

Responsibilities

  • Plan on-site activities with Project Manager, including resources and milestones.
  • Coordinate between customer and external resources on targets, safety, site policy.
  • Manage the site from handover to completion, ensuring quality, schedule and safety.
  • Represent the project on site and build stakeholder relationships.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage and installation of equipment to avoid damages.
  • Maintain RAMS and update documentation for on-site work.
  • Manage subcontractors to meet delivery date and quality standards.
  • Report on site activities, HSE, quality and cost to Project Manager.

Coordinating agreement between customer and external resources on construction targets, health and safety requirements, site organization and policy.* Responsible for the site, from receiving the assigned site area from the customer until handing over it back to the customer on completion day. This responsibility includes coordination of all on-site activities to ensure the successful execution of start-up, construction, erection, testing and commissioning activities in alignment with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements.* Serving as a project representative on site. Build and maintain effective relationships with customers as well as other local stakeholders.* Ensuring correct handling, storage and installation of equipment and material to avoid any damages.
