Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking an experienced Site Security Manager to oversee security operations at a busy distribution centre.

You will lead, develop and support the on-site security team, ensuring compliance with Mitie and M&S policies and service expectations. Working with the Operations Manager and client stakeholders, you will maintain incident management processes, produce reports, support recruitment and training, and drive a culture of professionalism, integrity, and continuous

Qualifications

• Proven leadership with ability to manage security teams at a distribution site.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience delivering security services to contract standards.
• Knowledge of access control, CCTV, incident management and reporting.
• Valid Front Line SIA Licence and full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop the on-site security team to deliver exceptional service standards.
• Maintain full operational oversight of site security activities and procedures.
• Act as primary contact for site security operations and report to Operations Manager.
• Ensure all incidents, risks, and issues are escalated through management channels.
• Build relationships with client stakeholders and Mitie management.
• Manage employee welfare, performance, attendance, development, and conduct.
• Conduct investigations, audits, inspections, and compliance checks.
• Ensure access control, CCTV, search, key control, incident management are robust.
• Produce reports and performance data for senior management.
• Support recruitment, training, onboarding, and succession planning.
• Ensure security operations comply with legal, contractual, and company requirements.
• Drive culture of professionalism, accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Support business objectives and implement operational directives.
