Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is looking for a Site Manager, Security at a Daventry-based distribution centre. You will lead the on-site security team, oversee every aspect of security operations, and report to the Operations Manager, ensuring services meet contractual requirements.

The role requires strong leadership, governance adherence, and a collaborative approach to delivery, with focus on incident management, reporting, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Security Manager or Site Manager role.
• Strong leadership, people management and communication skills.
• Ability to work within governance frameworks and policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop the on-site security team to deliver exceptional service standards.
• Maintain full operational oversight of site security activities, ensuring all procedures are followed consistently.
• Act as the primary point of contact for site security operations whilst maintaining regular communication and reporting to the Operations Manager.
• Ensure all security incidents, concerns, risks, and operational issues are escalated through the appropriate management channels.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with client stakeholders and internal Mitie management teams.
• Manage employee welfare, performance, attendance, development, and conduct in accordance with company procedures.
• Conduct investigations, audits, inspections, and compliance checks as required.
• Ensure all access control, CCTV, search, key control, and incident management processes are robustly managed.
• Produce accurate reports, performance data, and operational updates for senior management.
• Support recruitment, training, onboarding, and succession planning activities.
• Ensure all security operations comply with legal, contractual, and company requirements.
• Drive a positive culture of professionalism, accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Support business objectives and implement operational directives as instructed by the Operations Manager and site senior management team.
