Job summary

Landmarc Solutions is seeking a Site Operative to join our team at Ballykinler Camp. You will help maintain training estate facilities, clean accommodation blocks, and support grounds and buildings to keep the site safe and efficient for armed forces training.

No previous experience is required; a great can-do attitude is valued. The role offers stable permanent employment, 37 hours per week, and regular hours with occasional weekend duties in Northern Ireland.

Qualifications

• General housekeeping and caretaking knowledge.
• Understanding of Health and Safety procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• Confidence completing documentation.
• Basic IT skills, including using a tablet.
• A valid UK driving licence is essential due to the rural location.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining camp cleanliness to ensure all facilities remain safe, tidy and fit for use.
• Cleaning offices, communal areas and accommodation blocks, including ablutions and shower spaces.
• Completing routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and vacuuming.
• Managing cleaning materials and supplies to ensure stock is available when needed.
• Supporting general building upkeep to help keep facilities in good working order.
• Carrying out basic grounds tasks when required.
• Completing accommodation handover and take‑back duties.
• Recording information accurately using paper‑based and digital systems.
• Undertaking additional tasks as needed to support the smooth running of the site.

Job Introduction

Landmarc Support Services is currently seeking to recruit a Site Operative to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for looking after the Training Estate facilities, typical tasks will include cleaning accommodation blocks, and maintaining the grounds and buildings to ensure a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to stay while they train.

Role Details

• Salary: £26,910.75 + £1,127.50 weekend allowance p/a
• Contract: Permanent, 37 hours per week
• Working Pattern: Monday–Thursday 08:00–16:30, Friday 08:00–13:00, with occasional weekend duties
• Location: Ballykinler Camp, Northern Ireland, BT30 8DQ
