Job DescriptionMy client, a leading freight forwarder/logistics provider, is looking to recruit an experienced Site Operations & Warehouse Manager within its regulated airfreight site at Heathrow.

ROLE: Warehouse & Transport Manager - Airfreight

LOCATION: Heathrow

HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday - 8 am to 6 pm

PACKAGE:

Negotiable dependent upon experience. In addition to a very competitive base salary, you will receive 33 days of annual leave including public and bank holidays, 4 x death in service, salary protection, eligibility to join a healthcare scheme, plus many other benefits.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience managing warehouse and transport operations within an airfreight environment.
• Strong leadership and motivational skills.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure in a challenging environment.
• O Licence Holder.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to act professionally and consistently with internal employees, managers, external suppliers, and contractors.
• Aviation Security training.

ROLE

The Site Operations Manager will oversee all aspects of warehousing and domestic transport within a busy Airfreight and distribution centre. This includes managing the site and facilities to ensure logistics solutions are cost-efficient and enhance customer service.

This encompasses transport administration, planning, and management of third-party carriers and internal drivers, as well as inbound and outbound warehouse planning and processing.

Responsibilities also include efficient stock management, goods control, staff and resource management, and maintaining a safe working environment through effective housekeeping and safety protocols.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement initiatives aligned with a Kaizen environment, requiring professionalism in liaising with internal and external customers, meeting high-quality standards, attaining accreditation, and achieving KPIs and SLAs to drive service excellence and cost control.
