Force Contracting Services are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee civil engineering and groundworks at Heysham Nuclear Power Station. This permanent PAYE role offers stable, year-round work with strong support and clear progression.

You will lead site operatives, subcontractors and plant operators, coordinate daily activities, ensure safety/compliance, and maintain programmes and records. Travel and accommodation are provided with training and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• SMSTS qualification required or equivalent.
• Valid CSCS card is essential.
• Experience managing civil engineering or groundworks projects.

Salary: £20 -£22/hour (higher rates available depending on experience, qualifications, and tickets)

About the Role

Duties:

• Managing site operatives, subcontractors, and plant operators
• Coordinating daily site activities and ensuring programmes are met
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards
• Delivering site briefings and toolbox talks
• Liaising with clients, site management, and project teams
• Monitoring productivity and maintaining site records
• Supporting delivery of civil engineering works
• Promoting a strong safety culture on site

Requirements:

• SMSTS qualification
• Valid CSCS Card
• Previous experience managing civil engineering or groundworks projects
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to organise and manage site activities effectively
