Job summary

Force Contracting Services are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee civil engineering and groundworks at Heysham Nuclear Power Station. This permanent PAYE role offers stable, year-round work with strong support and clear progression.

You will lead site operatives, subcontractors and plant operators, coordinate daily activities, ensure safety/compliance, and maintain programmes and records. Travel and accommodation are provided with training and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• SMSTS qualification required or equivalent.
• Valid CSCS card is essential.
• Experience managing civil engineering or groundworks projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site operatives, subcontractors and plant operators.
• Coordinate daily site activities and ensure programmes are met.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Deliver site briefings and toolbox talks.
• Liaise with clients and project teams; monitor productivity.
• Maintain site records and support civil works delivery.
• Promote a strong safety culture on site.
