Job Description: Site Manager (Fit out)

Location: Canary Wharf - London

On behalf of my client, I am actively recruiting for a Site Manager to work on various projects throughout London. My client is a multidisciplinary construction/fit out company delivering high-end projects across Ireland and the UK.

Reporting to: Contracts Manager/Project Manager

The post holder will be responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of building projects. They will also manage and lead other members of the construction team.

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Coordinate and control projects from the design stage through to completion and handover to the client, ensuring timely management of unforeseen delays.
2. Regularly monitor and liaise with the Contracts Manager/Project Manager on the Master Programme and develop stage/section programmes as needed.
3. Coordinate with the Contracts Manager/Project Manager to ensure adequate labour and sub-contractor resources are available on site, utilizing the approved agency list.
4. Manage daily operations on site to ensure project completion within the specified time, budget, and quality constraints.
5. Plan and organize site facilities and logistics, ensuring all equipment is fit for purpose and operated by trained staff.
6. Requisition materials, oversee deliveries, and ensure timely procurement aligned with the construction program.
7. Ensure workmanship and materials meet specifications, building regulations, health and safety legislation, and quality standards.
8. Ensure site team and sub-contractors adhere to operational standards.
9. Maintain close communication with the Contracts Manager/Project Manager and Contract Surveyor regarding cost control, waste management, variations, and instructions.
10. Keep comprehensive and accurate records related to projects for traceability.
11. Undertake relevant training and development activities.
12. Assist in recruitment and selection processes as needed.

Education and Experience

• Experience as a Lead Site Manager, particularly in fit-out construction.
• Strong personnel management skills.
• Site Management Safety Pass.
• Detailed experience with previous projects.
• Valid driving license.
