Paxton Personnel Ltd is recruiting an experienced Site Manager for an exciting construction project in Elgin. This hands-on role requires taking ownership of daily operations, leading subcontractors and delivering work to the highest quality, safety, and efficiency standards.

You will join a professional team, coordinating with the Project Manager and wider construction team, ensuring works align with drawings, specifications and building regulations while maintaining strong client and supplier

Qualifications

I am recruiting for an experienced and driven Site Manager to join a reputable and well-established main contractor on an exciting construction project in Elgin.

We are looking for a confident, hands-on Site Manager who can take ownership of daily site operations, lead subcontractors effectively and ensure the project is delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety and efficiency.

The successful candidate will be joining a professional and experienced team, working on an exciting project with an excellent financial package on offer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful day-to-day management of the construction site, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently and in line with the project programme.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and coordinating all daily site operations.

• Supervising subcontractors, trades and site personnel.

• Ensuring works are delivered on schedule and to the required quality standards.

• Maintaining excellent health, safety and environmental standards across the site.

• Conducting regular site inspections and ensuring compliance with company procedures.

• Monitoring construction progress and identifying potential delays.

• Working closely with the Project Manager and wider construction team.

• Coordinating materials, labour and resources to maintain productivity.

• Attending site meetings and providing regular progress updates.

• Ensuring all works comply with drawings, specifications and building regulations.

• Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.

• Identifying and resolving site issues quickly and effectively.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are keen to speak with experienced Site Managers who have a proven track record of successfully managing construction projects, ideally within a main contracting environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience working as a Site Manager on construction projects.

• A strong background in main contracting.

• Excellent knowledge of construction methods, processes and site management.

• Valid SMSTS certification.

• Valid CSCS card.

• First Aid at Work certification.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage site teams.

• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.

• A proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Strong communication skills and the confidence to liaise with clients and senior management.

• A commitment to delivering high-quality work while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Experience delivering projects from initial construction stages through to completion would be highly advantageous.
