Job summary

Anchor Group Services is seeking an experienced Security Officer to join the Balaena Tyne site in Newcastle. The role involves acting as a visible security presence, engaging with employees, contractors and visitors while ensuring site procedures are followed.

You will conduct patrols, manage access, respond to incidents and maintain comprehensive records with a professional, customer-focused approach. The ideal candidate holds a valid frontline SIA Licence and has previous security experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid frontline SIA licence (DS or SG)
• Experience in security roles or guarding environment
• Strong communication, written and verbal
• Smart appearance, reliable, punctual and professional

Responsibilities

• Provide visible security presence and engage with employees, contractors and visitors
• Manage gatehouse operations and sign in/out visitors and deliveries
• Control access and egress; verify identifications and authorisations
• Conduct regular site patrols and report suspicious activity or hazards
• Record observations accurately and maintain site records and reports
• Respond to incidents promptly and escalate as required
• Deliver professional, customer-focused security service throughout shift
