Job summary

Anchor Group Services is seeking a Gatehouse Security Officer at Shotton Paper Mill in Deeside Industrial Park. The role covers access control, visitor management and site security, with a 4 on 4 off pattern and average 42 hours per week. A valid SIA licence and a full UK driving licence are essential.

You will deliver high standards of customer service, manage access systems, and maintain site safety and security at all times. Training opportunities and uniform provided.

Qualifications

• 5-year employment history (checkable)
• Valid frontline SIA licence DS or SG
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence
• Customer Service experience and confidence in handling conflict
• Flexible to meet job requirements
• Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
• Smart appearance, well-groomed
• Reliable and punctual
• High enthusiasm and passion
• Ability to work in a fast-moving environment

Responsibilities

• Protect client property and assets by following site AI's and procedures
• Control access to site via gatehouse, checking vehicles, visitors and staff
• Verify identification and issue passes to authorised personnel, visitors and contractors
• Act as main point of contact for all site visitors, providing a professional service
• Maintain accurate records of site access, vehicle logs and visitor documentation
• Operate gatehouse systems including barriers, CCTV, radios and access control
• Escalate incidents to Control Room/Shift Manager/Operations Manager or emergency services
• Complete detailed daily activity logs and incident reports
• Support wider security operations, including periodic patrols when required
• Maintain professionalism, vigilance and customer focus at all times
