Job summary

RAF Lakenheath is seeking an experienced Site Foreman to lead civil engineering works for a major infrastructure project. You will oversee roads, drainage and utility works, ensuring safe delivery on schedule while maintaining high standards of workmanship.

The role requires strong leadership, proven site experience, and a track record of coordinating multiple trades. SMSTS/SSSTS and CSCS are advantageous, with First Aid at Work desirable. This is a long-term opportunity on a defence project.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Foreman on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• SMSTS or SSSTS qualification.
• CSCS Card required or preferred.
• First Aid at Work is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate multiple gangs across different fronts to deliver works safely and on programme.
• Supervise day-to-day site operations to ensure high standards of quality and productivity.
• Plan labour, plant and materials to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.
• Ensure health & safety procedures are followed, including daily briefings and site inspections.
• Coordinate with Site Manager, engineers and subcontractors to resolve issues quickly.
• Monitor progress, resolve site issues as they arise and maintain schedules.
