Job summary

BJF Group is seeking a Contract Service Manager to oversee day-to-day site activities, ensuring that site procedures and processes are implemented effectively across delivery and supply chains.

You will provide leadership, mentoring and line management to site teams, while delivering planned maintenance and ensuring statutory compliance, client alignment, and governance throughout the contract.

Qualifications

• Industry recognised qualification in engineering (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent).
• Health and safety qualification such as IOSH or similar.
• Supervisory/managerial experience in technical or hard services.
• Experience in recruitment and line management of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication at all levels.
• Numerate and computer literate.
• Strong motivational and influencing skills with high integrity.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operational site activities and ensure site procedures are followed.
• Lead, mentor and manage site-based delivery and support teams.
• Provide cost information to line management for chargeable works.
• Plan and deliver planned maintenance tasks to meet compliance.
• Ensure statutory compliance and report any failures with mitigations.
• Interface with client to align priorities and expectations.
• Support workload planning for efficient team utilization.
• Regularly check tools and equipment and record status.
• Offer technical/specialist advice to the client as needed.
• Adhere to escalation processes to maintain contract governance.
