Job summary

The Sterling Choice is recruiting a Site Engineering Manager for a growing food manufacturing business in the South Hampshire/West Sussex area. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers, manage site maintenance, and drive continuous improvement, reporting to the Head of Operations.

This senior role offers a base salary of £80,000–£85,000, life assurance, annual bonus, matched pension and gym membership, with opportunities to progress within a dynamic, invest­ing business.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience within a fast-paced industrial engineering environment.
• A people‑focused management approach.
• Working understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
• Strong multi‑skilled technical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Managing and developing a team of 15-20 engineers.
• Overseeing the day-to-day activities of the site-based engineering department.
• Driving continuous improvement of engineering practices, standards, and projects.
• Legionella management.
• Ensure the CMMS is operating efficiently.
• Environmental compliance management.
