Job summary

The Sterling Choice is recruiting an Engineering Supervisor for a food manufacturing site. The role leads a team of Engineers on shift, oversees all maintenance, and aims for minimal downtime to hit production targets.

You should have proven supervisory experience in food manufacturing or FMCG, solid mechanical/electrical knowledge, and be comfortable with rotating shifts or nights. The position offers hands-on leadership in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar Engineering Supervisor or Team Leader role.
• Background in food manufacturing, FMCG, or another regulated industry.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical engineering knowledge.
• Confident managing teams and leading from the front.
• Flexible to work rotating shifts or nights, depending on site structure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Engineers during your shift
• Oversee all planned and reactive maintenance activity
• Ensure minimal downtime and support production targets
• Drive a proactive maintenance culture as an Engineering Supervisor
• Support continuous improvement and engineering projects
• Maintain site compliance with health & safety and food safety standards
• Act as the senior engineering contact on shift, escalating issues when needed
