Tilbury Douglas is offering a Summer Placement Engineer role on a site-based project in the South West/Bristol region. You will work alongside site teams, gaining practical experience in engineering and construction management while contributing to a live project.

The placement targets students studying Civil/Structural/Building Services Engineering or Construction Management, with mentoring and exposure to modern construction methods and digital tools.

Qualifications

• Study towards a degree in civil/building/environmental engineering or related field.
• Demonstrate problem-solving and practical thinking for site delivery.
• Good written and verbal communication across project teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist day-to-day site operations to ensure safety and alignment with the project programme.
• Support setting out, surveying and engineering control activities on site.
• Assist with method statements, risk assessments and quality documentation.
• Observe coordination of subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Attend planning meetings and progress reviews and help with site records.
