Job summary

BMD Group is seeking a Site Engineer for its UK infrastructure division to support roads, bridges, and water projects across the country. Candidates must be willing to travel and stay away during the week.

You will coordinate subcontractors, provide engineering support, and assist in setting out works and preparing as-built drawings while maintaining safety and quality records. A Civil Engineering qualification and site experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree level in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Site experience including setting out and reinforced concrete.
• IT skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Regular communication and reporting to multiple stakeholders and coordination of subcontractors.
• Provide engineering support to overcome technical problems and answer queries.
• Set out works within allowable tolerances.
• Assist in preparing as-built drawings and recording workmanship and materials testing.
• Maintain safety and quality documentation and registers.

We require a Site Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis.

We have projects across the UK ranging from roads & highway upgrades, bridges, water treatment plants etc.

Candidates that are interested in this role must be able to travel and stay away throughout the week.

Job Summary and role description:

• Regular communication and reporting to multiple stakeholders to ensure the seamless execution of projects, including coordination of subcontractors.
• Assist in providing engineering support to ensure technical problems are overcome and technical queries are answered.
• Responsible for setting out works constructed within allowable tolerances.
• Assist in the preparation of ‘as‑built drawings’ and recording and testing of workmanship and materials.
• Assist in maintaining registers and ensuring safety and quality documentation.
• Degree level/HNC/HND qualification in a Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• site experience, including setting out and reinforced concrete
• Technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practice.
• IT skills including MS Office

Desirable:

• CSCS, SMSTS, TWS or TWC
