Job summary

BMD Group is a leading Australian civil engineering and construction firm with UK projects across roads, bridges, water treatment facilities, and urban development schemes. We are seeking a Site Engineer to join on a permanent basis and support site teams while travelling to sites throughout the week.

You will set out works to tight tolerances, assist in resolving technical queries, help prepare as-built drawings, and record workmanship and materials.

Qualifications

• Degree level/HNC/HND qualification in a Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Site experience, including setting out and reinforced concrete.
• Technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practice.
• IT skills including MS Office.
• CSCS, SMSTS, TWS or TWC desirable.

Responsibilities

• Regular communication and reporting to multiple stakeholders to ensure the seamless execution of projects, including coordination of subcontractors.
• Assist in providing engineering support to ensure technical problems are overcome and technical queries are answered.
• Responsible for setting out works constructed within allowable tolerances.
• Assist in the preparation of 'as-built drawings' and recording and testing of workmanship and materials.
• Assist in maintaining registers and ensuring safety and quality documentation.

We have projects across the UK ranging from roads & highway upgrades, bridges, water treatment plants etc.

Candidates that are interested in this role must be able to travel and stay away throughout the week.
