School Cleaning Technician

Job summary

Education Authority (Northern Ireland) is seeking a cleaner to join the site team. You will work as part of a team to clean various areas of premises, following line manager guidance and established procedures.

Responsibilities include floor cleaning, carpet stain removal, toilet and shower cleaning and waste disposal, with attention to safety and PPE usage. Training will be provided as required and adherence to health and safety regulations is essential.

Qualifications

• Three months' experience of cleaning outside home environment.
• Demonstrable experience of using a range of commercial cleaning tools (e.g. buffing machinery).

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop and scrub floors using appropriate equipment.
• Clean carpets and matting as required with suitable methods.
• Clean toilets and showers, including fittings and fixtures.
• Dust and wipe ledges, walls and fixtures up to 3.35m; polish furniture.
• Empty and clean internal litter bins and remove waste to collection points.
