Job summary

WR Logistics in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a Site Chemist to join the waste management team. You will oversee the safe operation of the site, handling and processing of waste, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and traceability.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field with experience in the Waste Management sector. Salary is up to £32,000 (DOE), with Monday–Friday 9am–6pm, and on-site parking and training opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field required.
Experience in the Waste Management industry preferred.
Good Site/Lab H&S knowledge desired (IOSH helpful).

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with site permits and waste acceptance regulations.
Oversee safe operation of the site and waste handling.
Monitor quality and compliance, and submit non-conformance reports and invoices on time.
Preparing and prioritising hazardous waste materials.
Ensure all waste processed/repacked has a paperwork trail from cradle to grave.
