Job summary

WR Logistics is recruiting a Site Chemist in Cheshire to join a busy hazardous waste site. You will be responsible for the safe and compliant management of various chemical waste streams, using chemistry knowledge to identify, classify and control wastes and ensure correct labelling, storage and handling.

The role requires a minimum HNC in Chemistry or a related qualification, good understanding of chemical hazards, strong attention to detail and effective teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum HNC in Chemistry or a related qualification.
• Good understanding of chemical hazards and safe handling.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and classifying incoming hazardous waste.
• Identifying and managing different chemical waste streams.
• Ensuring waste is correctly labelled, segregated and stored.
• Carrying out chemical analysis and testing where required.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
• Following all health, safety, environmental and site procedures.
• Supporting the safe and efficient operation of the site.
