Job summary

WR Logistics is seeking a Site Chemist in Middlesbrough to join a leading waste management and environmental services team. You will sample and test incoming waste, identify materials, ensure safe handling and maintain records.

The role offers training and career development opportunities within a growing environmental services business, with a permanent, full-time contract and a salary up to £35,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Chemistry qualification or relevant experience preferred.
• Experience within waste, chemicals, laboratory or an industrial environment would be advantageous.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong health, safety and environmental awareness.
• Practical, reliable and willing to work in a busy site environment.

Responsibilities

• Sampling and testing incoming waste
• Identifying and classifying waste materials
• Ensuring waste is handled, stored and processed safely
• Completing waste documentation and maintaining accurate records
• Supporting site operations and ensuring compliance with environmental legislation
• Working closely with colleagues, customers and waste producers
